Winter property response — checks, not a pretend plow fleet
The public site lists seasonal maintenance, not a dedicated snow-removal company. This page is about what we can honestly do after a storm when the owner is not in Tahoe: look, document, escalate, and coordinate — with a hard line against structural or emergency claims.
Text is the preferred path. The attributed inquiry link below carries this service context into the contact form.
Owner situation
The owner is in the Bay Area or further. A cell drops two feet. The questions are specific: did the pipe stay warm, did snow bury the deck rail, did a roof dump block the entry, is the house dark? Public TR Tahoe copy already sells a look, photos, and a single point of contact. It does not sell a plow route. Treating this as “snow removal SEO” would be a lie.
How TR Tahoe handles it
A winter response starts with a trigger (storm, freeze alarm, neighbor text, planned absence) and a documented visit: access, visible roof and entry, obvious water, heat indicators we can observe without destructive inspection. You get photos and a plain-language note. Anything that needs a licensed roofer, plumber, or electrician is coordinated, not improvised. Seasonal Care on the contact page is the inquiry type. If you already have a plow contractor, we work around that person rather than competing with a fleet we do not advertise.
Operating language: Public first-party copy lists seasonal maintenance, not a dedicated snow-removal fleet. Winter pages describe weather checks, access, and coordinated response. Emergency snow-load or structural claims are out of scope.
Local conditions
Tahoe City: lake-effect wind, earlier melt, and in-town access
Tahoe City storms are often wind plus snow, which is why drip-edge and entry-ice calls show up here more than long-burial calls. Streets in town are usually opened sooner than Tahoe Donner cul-de-sacs, so a same-day look is more often possible — and public reviews already describe that pattern for roof damage. The winter risk on the west shore is ice at the eave and water at the interior wall, not a six-foot berm against a north wall until May.
Local condition: Tahoe City wind-plus-snow eave ice with earlier municipal access
Truckee: longer closures, Town snow-storage, and parked-car damage
Truckee holds snow longer and the Town stores it in a 20-foot frontage easement on many lots — Tahoe Donner’s packet repeats that Town fact because it surprises remote owners. Cars left on or along the pavement get hit by plows and can be cited. A winter check in Truckee therefore includes “can we actually reach the door” and “is a car sitting in the plow path,” not just a pretty snow photo. If you rent the house, the owner — not the guest — owns that instruction.
Local condition: Truckee 20-foot Town snow-storage easement and plow-path vehicle risk
Tahoe Donner: buried entries, no winter ASC inspections, and roof-dump doors
Tahoe Donner’s own winter notes tell owners to keep doors out from under sliding snow, to expect no ASC site inspections while snow covers the lot, and that each owner clears their own parking. Temporary entry shelters have their own application path. A winter visit here is about whether the entry is usable and whether snow is unloading onto the deck or door — not about starting a remodel. We will not pretend we can inspect footings or drainage under a four-foot pack.
Local condition: Tahoe Donner no-winter-inspection rule and roof-dump entry hazard
Kings Beach: parking bans, highway closures, and low-lot meltwater
A winter check in Kings Beach starts with whether we can legally park and reach the door. Highway 28 parking restrictions and plow berms on the grid streets strand cars and bury hose bibs. Low lots near the State Recreation Area take meltwater and slush, not the multi-month burial of a Truckee cul-de-sac. We document access, visible eave ice, and whether water is at the slab — we do not run a plow route and we do not claim a twenty-four-hour north-shore fleet.
Local condition: Highway parking-ban access and low-lot meltwater, not a north-shore plow route
Carnelian Bay: private-road reach and tree-loaded eaves
Winter visits here fail first on the spur: if the private road is not opened, there is no look. Tree-loaded eaves drop limbs and dump snow onto entries that look fine from the highway. We document whether we reached the door, whether the entry is usable, and whether a limb or ice is on the eave — not a scenic snow photo. Life safety stays 911.
Local condition: Private-spur access plus tree-loaded eave dumps
Tahoma: Highway 89 as the only reach, later municipal open
Tahoma winter checks depend on Highway 89 and on a driveway that opens later than the Tahoe City core. We do not claim a south-west-shore patrol. If the highway is restricted or the drive is a sheet of ice, the honest update is “could not reach,” not a stock snow picture. Documented look when we can stand at the door; 911 for emergencies.
Local condition: Single-highway reach and later driveway open, no west-south patrol claim
Dollar Point: steep drives, multi-aspect ice, still not a plow company
Winter checks in Dollar Point fail on the driveway pitch as often as on the eave. Ice on a steep descent is an access fact, not a photo op. Multi-aspect wind loads eaves differently than a west-shore office-town street. We document reach, entry, and visible ice; we do not run the association’s recreation facilities or claim a peninsula route.
Local condition: Steep-driveway reach and multi-aspect eave ice on the peninsula
Old Greenwood: community snow storage plus Town frontage rules
Winter checks in Old Greenwood include whether the driveway and approved snow-storage on the lot still let us reach the door, and whether a car is sitting where Town frontage rules and plow routes will hit it. This is not Tahoe Donner’s no-winter-inspection story and not a claim we maintain golf-community roads. Documented look; 911 for emergencies; your plow contractor if you have one.
Local condition: Lot snow-storage and Town frontage vehicle risk inside the golf community

Limits
We do not claim a snow-removal fleet, a guaranteed response time in a county closure, or that a visit makes the house safe. We will not certify roofs, ice dams, or carbon-monoxide conditions from a driveway photo. Life-safety emergencies are 911. Frozen-pipe or electrical emergencies are licensed trades. This page will not use “24/7 snow removal” language.
How small repairs feed this work
A winter check often turns into a small interior repair — a dripping hose bib, a failed weatherstrip, a snapped rail — and sometimes into a spring roof or deck job. That is the intended path: seasonal access first, larger licensed work when the evidence says so.

Text (530) 448-1734 before you leave town or after the storm, with gate/lockbox instructions and what you want documented. If water is active in the house, say that in the first sentence.
